Campus-Community Emergency Response Team

In 2010, the University of Oregon developed a Campus - Comunity Emergency Response Team (C-CERT).

The C-CERT program trains individuals in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, C-CERT members can assist others on campus following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

The City of Eugene also provides CERT training and the updates about emergency preparedness in Eugene.
