Preparedness Training
UOEMC engages with individuals, units, and the university as a whole to prepare and plan for emergencies and disasters that may impact the campus community. UOEMC provides training in personal emergency preparedness, including proper earthquake response and assembling 72-hour home emergency kits. UOEMC also provides worksite safety protocols and procedures training for departments and units within the University, so that offices and classrooms can remain safe and effectively respond in an emergency. There are several ways in with UOEMC shares critical information about emergency preparedness with groups across campus.
- A UOEM representative can come to your department/faculty/staff meeting and present on personal and workplace emergency preparedness and describe how the UO will communicate with faculty and staff during an emergency. Handouts and other resources will be made available. This presentation could last from 30 minutes to an hour.
- A UOEM representative can come and present an abbreviated, 10-15 minute version of the presentation described above. Handouts and other resources will be made available.
- UOEM can provide your department/office information about personal and workplace emergency preparedness, as well as UOAlert! so that you can distribute it to your staff and faculty.
